94 95 GT strut tower bars?????????

Hey guys. Hope everyone is well. Okay well I have a 95 GT with the cobra (gt40) upper and lower. So yeah its a 302 motor. Aight now I know that Ford Racing makes one, BBK, MaxMotorsports, etc. I am wanting to go with a black one, so my question is which one is lighter, which one is strongest, which one has best bolt on fitment? Oh and I know that they make one for a 351W. What do you guys think the major difference is? I probably want to put a 351 in eventually within the next couple of years and would want to try to avoid buying two bars and just buy the one for the 351w if it will fit. Would I have do drill new holes in the tower or firewall? Oh and what kind of problems will there be with any one of these fitting with the different types of superchargers? So I want to get one but I want to do my homework on them because they are kinda pricey. Aight so weigh in and any help would be appreciated.

I bought the Ford Motorsports one many years ago. Take yours off, put it on--5 minute job.
The holes are already there--or they were for me--I have a vert.
I thought the welded union was misaligned and poorly done. It's light & clears My GT-40 intake
Don't know about supercharger clearance..

I got one sitting the garage I need to install, it is worth a mention that they aren't really needed thou. Tests have shown that there is very little deflection on the strut towers. (subframes are another story......)

BBK is a great lookin piece BUT i had a bit of an issue installing it with the GT40 mani
the bar actually hit that black plate where the cruise and throttle cables are attached .... i had to take the plate off, bend it and only then did it fit, other than that it looks great and i guess does its job

can't say about the gt40 intake, but my BBK fits around my edelbrock performer RPM and goes over top the supercharger pipe. fit like a glove to stock holes. only problem was the bolts, they weren't stainless :D

Then why is it that most people who drive without it for long periods of time have not been able to re install it because the bolt holes no longer lined up from the towers stretching apart. Also I took mine off recently to do a couple of things to the car and noticed that the bolts on the strut towers clearly showed stress on the threads. So I just replaced them all. But the ones on the center by the cowl where fine. Thats just my .02

Hey thanks guys for all of the info. I went ahead with a BBK because its the only one I could actually pre-fit before my purchase. Anyway, I knew right off the bat I was going to have to modify that throttle cable bracket as soon as I laid it on top. It was pretty easy all I did was remove the bracket and then cut that big piece of the bracket off with a hack saw. It was an L-shaped cut that left the little hole that holds the spring. Fit like a glove. Then a bolt didn't want to go in because of a mis-alignment with one of the towers with some metal plate that is underneath it. But got them all in and they are all tight. Its funny because now I took it for a ride and now I have a clanging noise near my waterpump so I hope its the waterpump lol and not my engine. Not that the strut bar has anything to do with it...it just seems that with these cars, if its not one thing its another. lol. "But I still love 'Err" lol.
