Ok so i finally let my old man talk me into it. I raced his 67 fastback the other day. I figured i would do better than i did. First of all i have a 95 GT. Engine wise its basically stock. Other than a K&N, BBK o/r x-pipe and flowmaster cat back. Suspension on the other hand is rather tweaked. Kenny Brown stage 3.... And the list goes on. To the good part. The 67 has been fully restored right down to the original 15" wheels. But the engine on the other hand is a HiPo 289. Bored ".030 over, Cam, Aluminum heads,Ported Polished all the goodies. So we line up in the road. I knew i would take him off the line. I have 3.55's And the 67 well he over looked his rearend during restoration and stuck with the limited slip. Sure enough i took him off the line rather well. I glance back in my rearview and there he was. Comming outta his 200 foot one legger. I was chuckling to myself thinking damn that was easy. Well boy was i wrong. It was about the time i went into fourth he pretty much handed me my own Azz on a silver platter. There was no smiles anymore. Reality kicked in. He took me buy about 2 car lengths. Im still trying to get him to invest in a posi rearend! I think hes gonna go for it now! Anyone know a good place to get a cheap one?
