95 mustang auto, Chip?

So i hear the computers on the 94-95 gts are pretty crappy when it comes time to modding up the motor. I have a built up motor in my garage about ready to drop in(i.e H/C/I). My question is what would be the best chip wuithout killing the bank? I've got suggestions to dyno tune but i hear that starts getting expensive.

It has a built up AODE able to handle 450 hp so im not really too worried about the tranny, i just dont want to drop in the motor and be dissappointed.

Any suggestions would help

The '94-'95 computer gets a bad rap but I think that's rather exaggerated because you can do quite a few mods without any issues. It'll certainly cope with basic bolt-on performance mods, and it'll even adapt to heads/intake upgrades as long as the injectors are correctly sized and you have a properly calibrated MAF that'll accurately meter the extra airflow.
Where the computer gets fussy is with cam changes and the reason for that is the PIP sensor inside the distributor cannot adapt to changes in valve opening/closing events. As long as you don't deviate far from stock cam specs and use a cam with a LSA of at least 114*, you won't lose driveability. Otherwise a computer retune is necessary. I suggest you go for a programmeable tuner with datalogging ability such as the Tweecer RT and install a wideband O2 sensor. I know this isn't cheap but it'll be a one time only deal. If you decide to change your combo later on, you'll have the ability to retune yourself at no extra cost.

ive heard good things aboutthe SCT chip free tunes and such. ppl tell me they getting almost 29 mpg on economy mode and if you put in 93 octane the chips gives auto about another 22 pony's. this is the one i think about getting but if anyone knows something different dont hold ya tounge.

I used a chip from www.jmship.com. It's burned custom for specific mods though.
