I have no idea on where these came from so hopefully he will chime in and explain. Also, in that last thread about the performer vs. rpm, people seemed offensive but we all need to calm down as there is always more than one way to go fast.

Anyway i told 95snoozer i would host these pictures so here they are, feel free to comment.....

ah the bottom was for you...

an AFM b2 with only 1.6s (ground for 1.7s) cam ported trick flow heads and ported performer intake etc etc, It falls off uptop due to the tune

this is a comparison of the 2 intakes based off a controlled dyno test donw at anderson ford motorsports. I merely put his info into an excel spreadsheet and made a graph that plotted the dyno curve.

this is on an afm cammed 302

an article form MMFF along time ago. Rick anderson did the test of all the intakes.

I could show the curves of the others if anyone wants, but too many on one graph got really crowded. if anyone has a request, i can do that this afternoon.
 
just compared to eachother or do you want a 3rd one for a baseline?

the holley is WAAAAAAy better i can already tell you it blew away even the box plennums

of course lowend on the holley could be a lil soft, but on a 331 or 347 it is supreme

afm n-65 cam meant for 4.10 + gear
30 pound injectors
pro m 77
accufab 75 TB
stock twisted wedge heads
bassani 1 5/8s step to 1 3/4 headers
dynomax 3 inch race mufflers
dr gas x pipe
afm power pipe
and a PMS

all intakes were port matched to the 74 mm tb opening.

he we should just talk on aim since we are the only ones in this thread :rlaugh:

do you have the performer 5.0 to put on that graph too, it would be interesting to see how much it loses up top and is stronger down low

i'm just wondering what the difference between the stock 302 block and the dss 306 is? is it just a stronger engine with forged internals? i should probably just do some research but i figured why not...
 
the performer is on that first graph.

a dss 306 could have any number of things depending on which series you get.

the base block has flat tope pistons which can have a smidge higher compression depending on how much is flycut.

if it has the trick flow pistons it is probably in the 10+ compression range.


also in these tests it uses a cam which is meant to spin higher rpms... it is not their normal street 302 cam. so a cam not meant to spin 6200 obviously wont take advantage of the intake and heads.

its all in the combo.
