96-98 Cobra Engine Swap

I have a 89 coupe and i was looking to do a 96-98 cobra engine swap. Ive seen a few fox body coupes have this engine setup. My question is what would it take to do this entire swap, And would i have to modify my tubular K member to make this setup work? Any help would be thankfull!

there was an article of doing this exact swap in HOT ROD magazine. a few months back. i cannot find links but there is a LOT of information on this topic.. google is your friend!

I am doing a 2V swap right now into my 81 notch. Look for thread "Project 81 Hack Job Part I, II and III. Do a search in the 5.0L Talk forums and you will find all three of mine with pictures. It is very involved!! If you don't have an air grinder, air tools, air chisel, a welder, a hoist and access to Mustang parts, I would suggest NOT doing it.

BTW.....That Hot Rod magazine article left SOOO much information out that you need it is not even funny. When I read that, they made it seem like anybody could do it in a weekend....nonono.....there are so many tricks and things you wouldn't even think of.

hey man, shot you a pm. go to modularfox.com everything is right there to do the swap,that what going into my 86. youll have to swap k members for sure but that sounds like that would help you out anyways.
