now i know the hangers on the 98 are like the 99+....and when they sold it too me for my 98 they gave me 2 extra like L shapped brackets....but have no clue where they go.....need advice asap

umm, are they the brackets that mount under the rear bumper that support the tailpipes close to where they exit?

The L-shaped hangers are included in most kits for the "other model years"/not '98s. The straight hangers are the ones you want.

Anyway, yes kits usually have 2 sets of brackets for user ability

These are the 2 brackets that go to the kit, the bracket on the floor is for 96-97 and the bracket on the pipe is for the 98-04. Use the bigger bracket shown on the tailpipe
