What's the best bang for the buck after exhaust?? Am installing a Magnaflow catted X and cat-back. For the next mod, am considering C&L 80mm, Steeda pulleys, extrude honed manifold, or shorty headers.

What have you guys found to be the best place to start??

Out of your list, I would say pulleys (best "bang for the buck" ratio out of the choices you listed above IMHO)... but yeah, new gears should be right up there as well (although they will cost a lot of $$$ to get them installed, so that kinda hurts their "bang for the buck" ratio IMHO).

I suggest gears (4.10's) as they have the potential to drop your et's .3-.4 and then definetely either steeda or march (sfi dampner series) pulleys. A set of drag radials is high on the list too as power is worthless unless you actually get it to the ground....get the gears man.

Thanks for the responses so far... Gears sound like the unanimous choice. Will look into a set of 4.10's. I'm dreading the installation cost.

Any other suggestions?

4.10s and Steeda pulleys. Next best two items. Cheapest is pulleys, my 4.10s cost 350 for install and the gears were FMS so I think 189. Was years ago.

With the 4.10s, you better have good tires too.

Also a shifter if you did not get one yet, I like the Tri-Ax by Steeda.

Forget the shortys. Worst mod I did. I saw 4 RWHPs for (Headers and Install) $800.

Yup, dyno tune...headers cause the car to run rich.
Plus, peak HP might not be the best, but I'll bet the HP and TQ across the whole RPM went up a lot more than the peak 4 HP you saw.
