i have a 99 cobra that is stock...i am in iraq right now and the money is building up...i figure i have about 3600$ to dedicate to my car when i return to the states...what do you think i should do. I am thinking 4.10's in the rear. These 2003 cobra's are tearing me up...help me get back into competition. I dont really wanna change the heads or cams for emitions reasons however an offroad x pipe is acceptable as it is easy to put the stock on back on. Thanks for your help...and never come to iraq...it sucks

You want to give the 2003's a run? 4.56 gears and take out everything you can to save weight. Seriously, get a blower. Maybe 5000? $3600 won't get you far Naturally Aspirated. You can always add the gears and other things later, but the blower will get you there immediately!

Good luck and I salute you!

hang with the 03's? your best bet is n20 or blower , although there are alot of other routes i guess you could take , definately 4:10's or 4:30's , i think about 80% of the people in these forums would tell you 4:30's, it just depends if you are on the highway alot and dont mind crusing at semi-high rpm's. I went with 3:73 and sorta regret it sometimes, but my car is my daily driver so i guess its not that bad of a descision. I raced an 03 and hung with him till about mid 3rd gear without my nos, then he started pulling away. good luck and thanks for serving.

Forge the bottom and go with the D-1SC now if you have the $$s. The upgrade from a P-1SC to a D-1SC is $1100.00.
