Hi I was getting dyno tuned by Watson Racing in Michigan and after they were done checking over the tune in asked if I could have a tune for dyno days. I wanted to run the car to 6k instead of stock Rev limiter which is 5500 I just wanted a few more hp right now it makes 301 and 305 tq to the wheels. but when they went for the 6k pull it started loosing power right after 5500 rpm is this because of my waistgate maybe opening because I think it has a 8psi spring or is the pulley "maxed out " look fwd to hearing what you guys have to say.

Please post pictures of the setup, wastegate on a centrifugal car is not typical although it has increased in popularity last few years with the coyote cars to boost the tq numbers. Also, 35 shot of Nitrous? Don't waste your time... Look at possible belt slip, check for a beat tensioner. There is also no such instance where the pulley would be maxed out, depending on impeller rpm you could be out of the efficiency range for the compressor but that's not likely only making 300rwhp.

This was the set up before dropping it into the car. it's the vortech v2 supercharger with intercooler and waist gate. I still have A/C too so the belt is definitely tight it was a job just to get the belt on

Car made stock 163 203 to the wheels then added supercharger with other mods and about 7 almost 8 psi of boost at 5500 rpm making 301 and 305 to the wheels but past 5500 it drops off. I don't believe it's belt slip but maybe the waistgate opening because the boost went up more and ended being more then the spring can handle?

Do you have the waste gate plumbed to a boost controller or is it simply relying on the spring? Personally I would put a 2lb spring in the gate and plumb it into a boost controller, the spring keeps it closed and the boost pressure the blower creates will seat the valve as the boost pressure increases. You will use a pair of solenoids to control the pressure on the waste gate.

The waist gate has a vacuum lines ran to it to keep it open the hole time it's not under load that's all tho
