Hello all,There's a guy here in town who just bought a 99 completly stock Z28 with a automatic.He's talking s*#t on my cobra wanting to race.Should I run him,and will I beat him?Thanks

I beat my father-in laws 2002 WS6 Vert-auto. Once I started pulling I never stopped. We raced from a roll. My mods are in my sig.

If you don't make a mistake, it could be a good race. Run him & find out.

I raced a Trans Am on the highway when I was stock, down to the 3.27 gears from an 85mph roll in 4th gear. I stayed even with him, not sure if it was an LT1 or LS1 though.

I just looked in your sig, and being a geared snake with a nice assortment of bolt ons, you should have no problem. You should toast him from a roll, and from a stop if you launch right. IMO you have the faster car without a doubt.

You should take him, but if you make a mistake you'll lose

Auto LS1s are usually good for mid 13s most i have seen run 13.4 - 13.7 with a good launch.
