A 67 fast back conversion for Mrs. bbettto !

Shuuuuh! Dont make any loud noises ,you may scare my welder and the SOB is welding like never before!
Got both door frames ,seat divider and the lower back window panel welded in .
That harbor freight spot welder ,you want one ,but you want the 220 not the 110! I have work tomorrow but if i am finished in time i am going to try to hang the quarters.

Passenger side just setting in place and it is just about a perfect fit. But when i get back to the trunk lid to quarter and lower window panel i see the quarter is kind of fish hooked where it meets up to the lower window panel ,this keeps the trunk lid from coming all the way forward so i will have to slice it and push it forward about 3/16 where i have it marked but not quite as much as my mark shows . Shouldnt be a big deal just have to weld up the slice once i get the gap correct.

Both quarters are on but only welded at the front and at the roof ,the roof is just setting in place . I ran into a problem with the front window opening ,it was cocked to the passenger side so the front end damage was enough to twist the windshield opening . A couple of pumps on the portapower and i had a nice square opening again .
Strange because the car sets level !

The roof is done ,that spot welder worked great in the drip rails but its a pain in the butt to hold that thing up there!
Quarters are done back to the front of the trunk lid but i have to take a slice out of both quarters where they meet up to the rear window panel and push that forward and weld the slice ,its like the quarter turns back and it hits the trunk lid ,not to big a deal .
I just have the bottom rear of the quarter and the quarter to tail panel and the body is done ...once the welds are ground

These jokers on face book ,everyone owns a shop it seems ! I am told a 1/4 inch hole is not big enough for a plug weld and he would fire his guys if the only went 1/4 inch . Well ,if you see that bubble on the under side of the weld that means you got good penetration and it is a good strong weld like these ,top pic is the weld ,bottom pic is the underside !
