The old back is all better now.
Got most of the interior brackets in today with a bit of welding it still needed. The floor patches are trimmed ,just need to cut out the floor.
All that should be left is the front apron patches and radiator support . Hope to have it finished by the week end .

Rear floor patch under rear seat is done ,i just have to finish welding the front floor and grind the welds and put in the screw in brackets and it will be finished. I have the next three days free to work on it so i should finish easily by Sunday.

That was about a heavy SOB! I figured i better fill it before it ran out so i could work this weekend.
Almost $200 for a refill but it will last me at least 2 years.

I have been waiting for 3 weeks now for fiberglass supplies ! I need to make the upper scoops and the big interior panels . I was messaged that it will be here this evening but i have heard that a week ago . Guess i have to find a new material supplier . If it does make it tonight i should have the pieces made late tomorrow. Its getting hard to get any supplies lately !

The fiberglass pieces are finished and somewhat fit to the car . The studs still need to set up in the lower scoops.
And this one is finally done!

Jim, post #67. I like your flat bar idea. We still haven't dragged out our old PanelSpotter to try to get new tips for it. We were discussing dipping the tips in some kind of paste flux before each weld. When we parked it, the tips were getting half welded to the sheet metal part.
Do you have an extra driver's side coupe/fastback front torque box that you would sell? We are adding a pair to a '66 coupe that needs them. The front frame rails are tweaked up and have to be pulled back down for the fenders to fit correctly. We thought it might be a good idea to add them after the pulling, and before removing the cowl top for cowl bottom replacement.
Also, I like the looks of your fastback rear interior panels. I'd like to talk about them more in the future. Keep up the good work!

The spot welder actually worked quite good ,the only problem is it weighs around 30 pounds and after about 50 welds its all i can do to hold it up .it didnt seem to stick on the body panels like it did on the small pieces of sheet metal .

The interior panels were made from molds taken from a 60,000 mile un touched GT i had ,they are just about perfect with correct graining .

I dont have any torque boxes but i would ad them ,the only thing holding the front end in a 65 66 is the firewall and floor
