well, some will remember the build up I was involved in for the better part of 2009. I forged up the shortblock, bumped the compression, blah blah. She ran good for a bit, but the heads decided that enough was enough. I had left stock during the rebuild when they needed a valvejob badly.

Sooooo, the motor is out again. This time, I'm going for broke and decided to take advantage of the bumped compression. Can we say Trick Flow heads?

My motorless GT on the lift at work

The motor and trans

New motor mods: Trick Flow 38cc heads, ARP head studs, Comp 270 cams, FRPP shorty headers (so I can finally register the GT here in California)

Good observers will notice the new rims. 18x9 and 18x10 Bronze 10th Anniv. I had to get these because while my GT was sitting broken on the backlot at work, someone decided they wanted my FR500's and took them.

Before

After

I'm also upgrading the brakes at the same time

And yes, that is new body work as well. '99 Cobra front bumper and hood. I'll be picking up some '03 Cobra side skirts soon to finish the look and repaint her after the engine work is done.

Nice work Matt. Sounds like the car is gonna run harder than ever before. Those new 10ths look sick. I need to see em' in person because I might need to step up to 18's on the notch...

Nice progress. That really sucks about the wheels getting stolen, though. The new ones look awesome however.

I think they were always available in the 18's. I got mine through LRS

The rims were a blind jump, but I based the bronze decision on seeing how good black M3's look with bronze BBS rims. I think it paid off
