Yeah, the paint ate the paint . My friend who has his own body shop said it's because she put it on too thick.

Mike....You ain't seen nothing yet...Its sucks that you have to wetsand it all over again... thats a drag after all that work...but once its buffed...she be plenty shiny..I think its got a nice shine to it as is...

get out the water bucket and start blocking it out.... Its blows...I know..

If anybody missed my earlier thread, my dad bought this car in September. It was in pretty decent shape, but he wanted it painted and to save a little money(saved over $1000), he had me paint it. So, this is my first non-spray bomb paint job. I think it turned out allright

We havn't wetsanded it yet since I sprayed it, Im hoping that's all it needs to really make it shine. It does have a nice shine to it right now, but it's still a little dull and has a little bit of orange peel. It's not nearly as shiny as mine or your car.

Put clears on this one. They're chrome, and my dad reeaaallly likes chrome lol. Thanks man!

That's what ebay's for I'm watching a set right now for under $700 shipped, but it will probably jump up a little towards the end of the auction.

i got my machined w/ tires and i picked them up for about 750... if you get those for 700, i will mess myself. but i can almost promise you nothing less than 1k. (i hope u prove me wrong)

Low I dig the bumblebee look. Regaurdless I think possibly the rear spoiler should be painted same as the hood stripes? Maybe not looks so good that way as well.

i kinda think there is too much going on w/ that car (mainly stripes & sunroof) to but the '03 cobras on there, they seem almost to flat and boring and the chrome seems like too much contrast. However, i think your dad might be onto something w/ the black chromed ones... but i'm thinking the black chrome cobra rs might flow better w/ that setup. i do think the dished anthracites would look the best imho

yea, it didn't turn out too good. but when I tried to make them fit the size of the 17's they looked TINY like 16's or 15's. Dunno, it was hard to find some 03's at the right angle for the pic. I think you can still get the point of how they would look...

I tried it again, I guess this chop is a bit more realistic

We had it out for the first time today and man it looks great in the sun! We still need to wet-sand it and buff it, but that will probably be saturday. I've almost got dad talked into a set of 17x9 and 17x10.5 chrome 03 Cobra's!

Was the sunroof factory, the car I bought had an aftermarket one installed and it squeeks on small bumps, the previous owner says to clean out in between where the glass rests on the weather stripping, do you have this problem also? Also do you have like little black sticky things that line the outside of the weatherstrip for the sunroof? I'll habe to take a pic of it.
