Im new to Mustangs but not to cars so bare with me if this post seems a little ignorant. Ive been thinking bout going to the "dark side" so to speak and getting a 95-98(i believe thats the years, the ones with the more roundish headlights) Cobra. So I have a few questions:

What years were the Cobras produced in that body style?

Whats the specs?(hp, tq, boost...)

What kinda times can I expect from it stock?

How much do the usually sell for?

Thanks and please excuse any of my ignorance in this post.

Welcome aboard. A good starting point to learn more about SVTs is the archive section on the SVT/Ford website at:

http://www.svt.ford.com/svtArchiveCobra.asp

You can select each model year & click "view specs" for various info/specs.

None of the years you mentioned had boost. The blower didn't come into play till 03.

If your looking for the higher HP steer clear of the 95 it had only 245. They broke the 300hp mark in 96 with slight increases up untill 01. I have heard the earlier 96/98 had very good blocks.

In stock trim, your looking in the low 14's to high 13's.

Something else to keep in mind is that in 95 they still had 5.0's in 96 they switched to the 4.6 4V.
