Well I recently did a motor swap to the ol' stang and suddenly have run into a very strange problem. I can't figure out how its doing it but while my engine is running, the alarms of cars that are near by will start going off. Also garage door openers don't work or will automatically open/close garage doors when I drive by. It is almost like my car has its own hacking frequency. Does anyone know how this could be happening?

Wow man.
That makes no sense. Nothing done in an engine swap could randomly produce a radio signal to my knowledge. Could it be pure coincidence? Maybe its the rumble of that 357 beast that's setting alarms off

I wish. But unfortunately when I turn my car off everyones things goes back to normal, such as the alarms will turn off or the garage door will shut. It's funny I just role down my street and it opens everyones garage doors including mine and when I pull in and turn the car off it closes everyones. Its is surprisingly a very strong signal

You're traveling through another dimension -- a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's a signpost up ahead: your next stop: the Twilight Zone!

The garages arent opening because of some un-natural frequency that your car is making. It's due to the profound respect for the awesome power that it makes and that it's a Mustang. They are not simply "opening" they are bowing. Same with the car alarms. They are rejoiceing in song. Camaro guys NEVER get this sort of respect.

I know someone hooked up a capacitor on my coil to eliminate radio interference. But even if you dont have one, I cant see it putting out interferance that strong.

To open garage doors it would have to work on a certain frequency and it wouldn't just stay at one range since each garage door would be made by a different manufactuer with a different wave length. Either your car is scanning up and down ranges very fast for it to open every garage door or you're fulla shyt.

Also, with it emmitting that much waves you're gunna start to glow green and your pee-pee is gunna start to shrink.

...Go get screened for radioactive poisoning. lol.

Well I hate to say it but I am serious. I have many witnesses, many of them frustrated neighbors, because I keep opening their garage doors when I drive down the street. My friends and I have been testing it and the signal is so strong that even with the garage remote right next to the garage door mechanism it doesn't work but the second i turn my car off everything works first time. I'm sorry this is not a joke but I cannot figure out how this is possible. The weirdest part is that I can turn on and off car alarms with turning my car on and off. When my car is running, nobodys alarm remotes work either.

check your plug wires. unshielded plug wires can and will cause massive radio interference.

does your radio make noise when it is on?

I dont even have a radio in my car, I just plug my ipod directly into the amp. Plus the plug wires are brand new, less than a month old since the swap.

a video of this would be awesome
