Well im on my third pump now (Barry Grant is a full fledged ass pipe).
Now i have a magnaflow, i wired it direct with a relay no inertia switch (thanks to the ass pipe Barry GRant).

Today i take the mustang for the 2nd ride OF THE YEAR!!!!

guess what happens, same thing as the first ride everything goes well untill the fuel pump dies and I call a tow truck to bring me home.

but today something wierd happend i get home and decide to mess with it right away turn the keys on and Boom the once dead pump fires up. I have NO F'ING clue what happend i monkey'ed around w/ everything b4 i called for the tow why the hell does it work now ... hmmmm

Honestly concidering selling/trading for an 03-04 cobra dont have the time or the patience for this garbage any more Im just losing it. Am i just a whiney baby or do I have a point ....l

here is a pic where it died..

noo don't sell it its so pretty...but if you have to I'll take it from ya cheap :D

Man that does suck! If you are running out of "reserve fuel pumps" it might be time to cut and run. I sold mine and am still pretty happy about the whole ordeal.

It's nice not having to work on the car before I take it for a cruise.

raven

it just sux owning a car that never f'ing drives...

on a brighter note when it does run it kicks ass.

If someone came to me tom. w/ an even trade for a sonic blue cobra it would be history...

I know the feeling man, I just finished my 5 lug conversion and I can't get the brakes to bleed correctly. I didn't bench bleed them though. I have an air compressor system bleeder but I think I might try old school and have my wife step on the pedal. Been seriously looking at a 94-95. I might still get one for a DD and the fox can just sit until it fixes itself.

Same thing here man. I'm considering parking it and buying this 68 GTX with a 426 hemi. Living in a day dream though. Guy wants 30K for it.

S&B - if that's the only problem with your car then I suggest you calm down, go spend a couple hours on Ravens site and the go backt to work on it. That issue just seems very fixable with a relatively simple solution. Hate to see you get rid of all that hard work just because of some kink.

Did you run all new wire for the pump or are you reusing some of the factory harness?

I ran all new wiring b/c when my Barry grant King sumo fried out, it proceeded to melt everything b/t it and the relay under the drivers seat.

I Would take 22k as the car sits..

I have owned the car for 3 years and have never taken it anywhere but on little drives around the neiberhood. Some times i just get a bad feeling about that car. Im just unsure, ill probably be right back to it this weekend, but 3 tow truck hauls is killing me i have over 1k just in fuggin PUMPS NOW...

what i need is more space, so i could buy a normal mustang that i could actually drive and just leave this one as the trailer queen it is...

I have a feeling that by trying to go all out, i have gone too far. The engines appitite for fuel at higher RPM's demands a huge pump. I just know there are other guys out there running these and some of the best helped me build my car. The pump i have now is supposed to be the best, they have never seen one burnt up...

So i just have no clue im a prisoner to my house i worry that every time i leave its just going to be another tow home..

Can't you just use TWO pumps?
You could use 2 pumps and hook up the second pump to a Hobbs switch that is hooked up to your TPS. You can run it to come on at 30% or more throttle to kick the second pump on that way it doesn't run all the time. But remember you would need a 1 way valve on the second pump so the first pump would not backfeed into the second.

Or run one pump with a controller.

If i havent given up on my car that still doesnt have a motor in it after 4 ****ing years, you better not give up on that car! then again, i would trade everything for a nice RUNNING cobra of almost any year after mine.

BTW, the intake, rockers and carb need to go on it... and that mofo is almost ready to go in the car :D
