No, Just part of the problem of trying to deliver 1,000hp of fuel to a car that doesnt just get started, raced, and shut down.

not to mention under boost the pump needs to delver 70-85psi of fuel

Probably not, race pumps suck.
That's why i linked him above to the twin bosch setup.

well i ran an 8 gauge ground and let the pump run for an hour and half. It worked flawlessly. The relay is getting quite warm but never a buring hot. Just in case i put a 3" brushless cooling fan infront of it to keep it cool. If the rain stays away I will go out and drive it for a bit this afternoon.

went out today it was running fine until it started to run warm, booked it back home, come to find out my fan is not working. one thing after the other, after the other, after the other. Now i have to fix that somehow. Did snap some pix b4 it got too hot.

car looks good. definately know the feeling where you just want to get rid of it, ive done it with 2 cars.

In all of this, and in discussions with BG, did you identify the cause of pump failure?

Was it excessive voltage drop of the power at the pump?

Loss of pump relays?

This should be relatively easily fixed, as there are zillions of cars running around with high capacity fuel pumps.

Should be something bigger wire and hd relays should be able to fix.

You also don't need the full pump capacity except at full throtte, so the multi pump idea may be the way to go. I was even considering two pumps when I go electric, one for the carb, one for the bottle.

Let us know what died, etc.

carbinator,??? i have a stand alone engine mang. system that is by far the BEST THING I EVER BAUGHT FOR THE MUSTANG.

well dont feel bad..the bronco ****ing broke down today after we fixed it...thats the second tow of the summer hopefully its not the fuel pump...

I lost my fuel pump on my 98 explorer 2 weeks ago, so i know that joke is not funny

last winter i lost 2 injectors and a changed a fuel filter in my 02 explorer i was having tons of trouble with it. I thought i had a banana in the tail pipe
