Hi, I was just curious if 01 S/C saleens are programmed differently than my non s/c. I was thinking of putting a series II supercharger on mine, but was wondering if I'll have to reprogram my computer, or does the saleen supercharger kit come with a chip? Also, do the non s/c and s/c saleen cars have the same size injectors and fuel pumps? Any help would be great, thanks

Completely different animals...

Saleen overrides the flash on the PCM on all their cars, NA as well as SC. The SC cars are tuned completely differently to account for the supercharger.

If you buy the SC kit from Saleen, they will give you a mailer to send your PCM back to them to be reflashed. It takes a couple of days...

Non S/C cars have the stock 19 pound injectors, the S/C cars come with 30's, at least for the series I cars, but I think the series II cars are the same. Saleen does not change the fuel pump on the S-281's, only the S-281E cars and the SR's.

I put a series II s/c on my 00 saleen and drove the car with the non supercharged computer and then had it flashed to the supercharger setup. Day and night difference, changes the fuel to air ratio which obviously made the car run better, my car was running too "rich" once i put the supercharger on with out the s/c computer. i bought my kit used , and saleen charged me $200 to have it raflashed. But definatly have it done, its well worth it

Don't even bother with a Saleen Tune (reflash) if you buy the S II Blower. Their tunes are way, way too conserative. Pay for a SCT XCalibrator and a custom tune because you'll have to go that route anyway after getting the new Saleen SC tune from Saleen.
Also, consider a SVT Focus Fuel Pump to handle the delivery of the fuel. 30# pound injectors worked fine for me up to around 350 RWHP and my focus pump was at around 95% capacity.

Didnt realize how old the post was, sorry about that. Im still just new to this forum stuff and I was looking around Saleen posts bc I love em and I am so close to the place. So, sorry to say it s351rspeedster, but no I dont not work the techline at Saleen. BUT, I have the two locations bc I go to school in Flint, Mich (hell on earth) at Kettering Univ. (used to be GMI) and I co-op out in Cali, where I have my mustang. and to top it off im from NY. but again sorry about bringing up that old post but I do see a lot of Saleen questions that sound perfect for their techline. I have heard some pretty funny stories of what people call and ask about though.
