Well, we usually get missed by these but this one is gonna hit us....HARD! Unfortunately due to the nature of my job I will be right in the middle of this mess at work. My wife will hold down the fort at home. Here we go....

Go outside and run around the house screaming as loud as you can. Go back into the house and slam the door.

Do this [before] the weather hits. It will help your neighbors to get into the spirit of things.

On a more serious note:
You're going to lose power. Hopefully you have enough propane and/or charcoal to cook all the chit you got in the freezer over the next few days.

Know how you feel. Still waiting for our first one of the year.
Iniki was the last one you got in 1992, same year Andrew got south Florida.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Inik

Federal officials said 10,000 of Kauai's 21,000 homes and most of its 70 hotels were severely damaged. In contrast, Andrew destroyed or damaged 117,000 homes in Florida, leaving 250,000 people homeless.

Center of H. Lane projected to be south of Oahu. Will be close to hurricane force (>75 mph) but not Cat 4 - 130mph.
Rain will be torrential, 20+ in. Look out for mud slides.
NOAA/NHC track forecasting is excellent, but be prepared for long term power outages.
