Abpot to order 275/50/15 w/ 15x8 drags lies, will it fit?

yea..they should def fit, my dad used to have 275/55/15 in 15x8 Draglites on his chevelle and they fit fine....

What wheel backspacing???
I run them with 5.5 bs, had to remove the quad shock, "massage" the inner fender, and still had to use a 1/4 spacer to make them not hit.

Do a search on "backspacing" the tire will fit, the rim will need to have the correct backspacing. Call the folks you order the rims from and ask them what BS you need for your car. They will hook you up and take it back if they are wrong. Have you visited www.tirerack.com they have good tables on the site to help you make the right choice. if you are running the original quad shocks in the stock location they prolly wont clear. You will have to flip them to make room or eliminate them by other means.
if you haven't ordered the wheels yet, why not consider a larger rear wheel...15x9 or 15x9.5 might be better...maybe even 15x10. Putting that large of a tire on an 8" rim will give more bulge, which isn't necessarily good. There's been a lot of controversy about it, but i'm concerned about it so much, I'm probably gonna buy bigger wheels if I get 275's and get some 15x9.5's or maybe 15x10's...maybe throw the 15x8's up front w/ some 235's
