Absolute cheapest set of alum. heads?

Mainly looking to take the weight off the nose of the car here. I don't care much about performance. The 302 is going in an 85 mazda so the power to weight as already retarded.

Where would I go to get the cheaest alum heads? Used/rebuilt is fine with me. I can't seem to find an undamaged set for under 1000. Where should I look? And what type of prices should I expect? Are alum Gt40s the way to go?

of low miles good condition Edelbrock Performers
for $600 from a guy who was going bigger.

I don't think the aluminum versions were stock on any cars.The only one you might be able to get somewhat cheap are y303's.I got mine for $680 last summer.See the Ford Racing site for info on their aluminum heads.

looking at an old mustang magazine, twisted wedge heads new are 1025 a pair or edlebrock performer 5.0 995 a pair
