In my quest to improve cooling for the Mustang I found a post that CobraJet NJ posted: ""Do you still have the stock A/C condenser in front of the radiator? The reason I upgraded mine to a 97 Cobra condenser was because the stock 94/95 A/C condenser is very DENSE (the fins are way to close together) and it really restricts the air flow going through the radiator. The 97 Cobra condenser's fins look exactly like a radiator, as does the actual cooling tubes, as the fins are spaced apart very nice and allow much more airflow over the radiator.""
His was on a 94 Cobra. Mine is a 94 GT. Does ANYONE know if there are diffences for the GT vs Cobra in how the A/C lines are situated?
He also suggested "After 1996, Ford had upgraded the condensers because they were not efficient enough for the newer modular engines. I'm not sure if the Cobra and GT condenser are the same as far as fin density, so you may want to ask for some pics of folks that have similar vehicles to compare."
Would anyone have any more information to offer on the density between Cobra and GT condenser's and the different years??? I need to find out if I can use a 96+ Cobra condenser, or another year, etc. etc. Any info. at all would be a great help!!!
