AFR 185 Non-Emission vs. Emission

could someone please explain the difference i know it says No Heat Riser Or Air Pump Holes but what does that mean could someone please explain
im new at this and i want to get it right the first time

Emission heads have the holes tapped into the rear passsanger side for the smog pump air tube, which pulls air from the heads and pumps it into the catlytic converter. But if your not worried about emmisions and have deleted your smog pump, get the non emmission ones. Good luck, very simple.

Unless you have a big motor or big power adder 185's don't work so well. My 91LX is an absolute turd on the motor. However, a 100 shot of juice puts me in the 11's easy.

I'm just trying to save some folks a little heartache....I'm feeling the love in here today!

The heat riser is also called an "exhaust crossover" Its a hole in the middle of the head that allows hot exhaust gases to crossover the intake to warm it up quicker in cold conditions......its not too great for performance.
