Installed my AFR 165's last weekend and finally got my bugs worked out. Doesn't feel as strong as I was expecting but definately a difference. It will easily break em loose just punching it in second gear at about 2,500 rpm's. I was suprised at how much different it sounds, and I'm not sure I like it. With the off road x-pipe and flowmasters it almost has a rattely sound at 2,500, but that goes away really fast when my foot gets heavy :D . One other thing is that the cam doesn't lope like it did before. It is a F303 cam and it almost sounds stock  .

time for one of these.. 5.8

I had pretty much the same exhaust as you. BBK shorty headers, off road X, and flowmasters. It was really raspy around 2500. I thought for a while that maybe a baffle or somehting in the muffler was loose, but it is just the way it sounds. I switched to an off road H, and I like the sound a lot better.

I also had an x pipe with flowmasters and hated it. I switched to dynomax welded race magnums (now called welded ultra flows) and it sounds SO much better. My ears would literally ring after I drove the car before I made the switch. I HATED it!
