Aggghhhh! Scary sound coming from car, clip inside - help?

Its the cats, and I got it back. THey will replace my midpipes because I just bought the car. They said its up to me. THe dealership is going to pay for it out of pocket if I choose to replace them. They know they cant sell me a car that I can't get emissions tested so they were cool about it.

so did you buy the car with the bassani x already on it ?.. are they going to replace your x-pipe or put the stock h-back on

Yah it had the x-pipe on it when I bought it, they said they will fix it but it would be with factory parts. I will probably let them put a factory midpipe on it, only if they give me the left over x-pipe. Then I'll put the xpipe back on and keep the factory pipe

The xpipe stopped making the noise, perhaps it got hot enough and welded itself back together... dunno?

Bassani has a warranty.. like most all of them do.. just call and they should help you out.. Glad you got it fixed..

I think I'm gonna cry... called t&j and Jeff said it sounds bad He said take it back to the dealership. I called the dealership and he said it sounded real bad and he didn't want me to drive it and get stuck anywhere. He proceeded to give me the number to roadside assistance and told me to have it towed into the service department. Sad sad, sounds like a rod bearing from talking to them.

I had a sound like that. Turned out to be a nut that had fallen off the h-pipe and allowed exhaust to leak after the header.
