Air bag diagnostics....help

I wrecked my 95 Cobra and just finished rebuilding the car. I plan to start it up Friday. Last night, I installed both air bags. When I turned the key on engine not running the airbag light began to flash. The DTC code is 12 - Lost battery feed. According the the Mustand service manual, the airbag diagnostic module will blow the fuse in order to disarm the system to avoid possible deployment. I check the 10amp fuse and indeed it was blown. The manual also states that the DTC 12 code could have been triggered by a short circuit in the Pin Nos 13 and 14 circuit. I check the voltage at the battery and noticed when I put a load on the battery using a battery tester the needle went into the yellow zone or weak zone. This is a brand new Yellow Top battery so I will take it back to sears. Also, the main fuse feeding the 10amp circuit did not blow. I have the Mustang service manual and will do some additional testing but thought maybe some here experienced the same problem and could shed some light.

1. Willl the weak batter cause a DTC 12 code?
2. What are the chances that the airbag module is bad?
3. The service manual suggest using an airbag simulator to test the airbag system. Where can I get this air bag simulator tool and is it really necessary to use to test the airbag system.

I need to clear an airbag code myself (85 - i had the left sensor removed for a cooler install) and i *thought* you could jump something in a connector (which I have not found yet. LOL) to clear the code (in the glovebox - I just need to find the info).

mine flashes code 25 when i fire it up like 3 times then stays on...wtf? i dident do anything to the car and it started this? anyone know what it is?

I don't know much about airbag diagnostics, but I do know that a regular code scanner will not clear the airbag codes. You need a special scanner to clear these codes, and it is several thousand dollars. You could take it to the dealership but they will charge you about $85 to clear the codes.

I had the battery tested and the battery is bad - Sears replaced it of course. My first thought was also that the battery was the culprit, however, I've had a battery go bad before and did not get the air bag DTC 12 code. I hope my luck is as goods you'lls and the battery corrects the prolem. But to be on the safe side though, I ordered the Airbag Diagnostic Simulator tool from Rotunda - funny I always thought that was the name of the actual tool and not a company. They sell them in pairs for $35.82 plus shipping. I will test the system without the airbags using the simulators and of course the new battery. Don't want to damage those mortgage payments. By the way here is Rotunda's number 800.768.8632. The P/N is 105-R00013. Thanks for the info. Oh by the way, I have not found that code clearing connector either when I do I'll let you know. Check out Hissin's link above and it will give you all of the airbag codes. If I had my Mustand Service manual with me I'd be able to help. But that websit provides valuable info. even the steps to diagnose every code Peace.
