The guy i bought the car off of put a holley 670 street avenger carb on my 85 and now i am looking for a aircleaner that will fit under a stck hood. I never received the stock one and a couple i have looked at will be too big. Is it the carb that is sitting to high or am i just looking for the wrong cleaner?

is the intake stock height or a high-rise? or is this a 351W or a 302? when i did my old 5.0 coversion from the 92 hatch i had, it just had a 4" tall air cleaner assembly from summit and barely cleared the stock hood with a weiand Xcellerator intake (which is considered a high-rise). you should be ok with one of them edelbrock pro flo's? or whatever they call it, looks like a triangle with a foam element for a filter. hope this helps you out some.
