how do you hook up the air/fuel gauge on our cars, some people told me you wire it into somewhere but im not sure where or how. also what should it read if you have a good air/fuel ratio? lean, stoich, or rich? thanks
i didnt even buy it yet ,and what do you mean by a wideband one? i was going to buy the autometer lunar series one. i doubt they are that inaccurate, especially if its autometer, their products are very good.
The problem with these units is that they do not give you a spacific Air/Fuel ratio. All they are really is a light show. A wideband unit has a sensor of its own and actully gives you a Air/Fuel ratio. They run about 400 Bux also.
like stang gt 1994 said its just a light show. I'm not saying anything bad about autometer, it doesn't matter what brand of a/f guage you buy its not going to be accurate unless its wideband and most of those will give you a digital display of the a/f ratio. but they are spendy.
