OK I will get my turbo this weekend. I know that it works but it does look a little bit weathered and well the engine is not exactly clena that it is attached to. How do I clean this up and ensure that it is in good working order beore I put it to use. Does anyone have any tips on this or is there a set of directions for this purpose? Could not fint the info on search. Thanks

Just clean it up with a wire wheel or something similar. After that you can spray it with a high temp (1200+) paint or something. I've done that on a few turbos and it works great.

As for making sure it's ready to run. Just take a look at the compressor wheel and make sure it doesn't look like a rock went through it. Then grab it and give it a light wiggle. If it's barely moves back and forth then it's good to go.
