Alarm System - HELP!

O.K., I disconnected the negative side battery cable to set the idle. Once I got finished and hooked up the battery again, the factory alarm went apes#$t. The key fob doesn't seem to control the alarm, but will control the panic (horn) alarm. The red button flashes all the time now, even if the doors are unlocked.

Any advice?

How long do you let the alarm go? I've set my dad's off, and after about 5-10 mins it will shut up.

this happened to me when I changed the fuse. I took the fuse out put it back in, us the UNLOCK button on the drivers side and that should reset it. At least thats what I did and it worked. Took a few times, so try something that, I know it has to do witht he Unlock/Lock buttons on the drivers side. Took me about 10 minutes to fix it.

Thanks, I will give it a try. It only goes off for about 2 minutes, but seems to re-arm itself.
