I'm trying to figure out what my next step is. I'm ready to take this beast to the max and go with a forged engine. Technically is all I really need this?

SHM Has the assembled and balanced block for 2Gs. This of course includes the requirements for up to 600-700 whp I'm hoping. I really haven't look much into forged internals but what else would I need besides upping the boost with the pully and feeding it more fuel with a tune?

Will that crank handle 600whp as it isn't the forged Cobra one? I know the tranny might not be able to support the power but is that really all I need to safely have the engine put out that kinda power? I see the fuel system has gone 700 whp on another car here.

Or is there a more cost efficient way to do this because I know SHM may not be the cheapest of pricing?

All your input is appreciated.

EDIT: I know the head won't flow as well for the moment not ported and polished and the stock cam cuts power as well, I'm just asking about if anything else needs to be replaced (will the head handle that power?).

I think you'd need a better crank. I've done some researching on what I want to do to obtain about the same horsepower you're looking for. Some of the options I've looked into is VT Engine's GT Pro block with the ported heads and cams or Foxlake's shortblock with the p&p heads and putting a KB 2.2 on it.

Lower end is my next step as well. From all the research I have done so far, VT and MPH owners seem to be the happiest. Don't think I have heard anyone who has either have any problems. After that, DSS seems to be pretty close, but I have heard almost nothing good so far about SHM.
I know to take everything you read with a grain of salt (especially on the net), but when you hear things repeated by quite a few different people, on different sites, you can start to form pretty good opinions.

Ditto. Could not have expressed any better. :nice:

As of right now I'm going to do the actual matting of the block and head and install of the engine myself. I've got about 2k right now which would be enough for the SHM lower end with all forged internals except for the crank. Would that be ok, or should I just wait to save more money and go with something else that I can find for less than 3k?

EDIT: Looking at MPH I see this engine:

I can't really tell, is that for an entire engine or just the shortblock? It says engine in the title but shortblock in the description? I guess 3350 for an engine that will handle 700 whp would be the best bet for me. If anyone has any other suggestions feel free :)
