How much was the volume sound difference when you switched to high-flo cats?
I mean we're going from 4>2 cats so did you notice it a lot? Was there a big difference from stock?

Thanks

Yes there was a noticable difference in sound, if you have a cat back on right now you will notice it much more, if its stock or you have a quiet catback (superturbo's or magnaflow's) it still pretty quiet, in the upper RPM's then its got a nice note, but still not loud. Now get a loud catback 40 series flows, slp's, magnapacks, mac, etc. then expect it to be much louder.

Yeah I have 40 series flows (i dont think they are the original 40's...) american thunder cat-back.
I just dont want it to be quiet, I would like a nice rumble but I need to pass emissions and my dad's not cool about getting an offroad pipe.

I have a stock cat-back so mine's not too much louder than stock at idle. But, once the tach gets above 2300 then you hear it and smile.

EDIT: I just passed emissions too.

Nice :)
I bought a mac h-pipe, I'm waiting for that smile and maybe a little sotp smile to. :D

With mine, there was no percievable volume difference between the catted x-pipe and the off road H that was on there before. So, I would say that it would be a massive increase in sound from stock.

Sweet ****....exactly what i wanna hear.

Well I put mine on yesterday. Wasn't that hard of an install, but I hate working on my back on the driveway.
The volume at idle is not as noticable as when you get on it. The sound is AWESOME when I floor it, but sounds almost stock at idle.
SOTP METER +++++++++!!!!
It felt like I gained 20 ponies! Was not expecting that!
I used to think my SOTP meter was broke .. I didn't feel pullies or anything else. This midpipe cleared that issue right up. :nice:
Oh and its rattling I thikn against the transmission crossmember gaurd thing...gotta fix that tomorrow.

Catted BBK X-pipe here (goddamn e-testing...). I didn't notice much difference in the idle sound, but she screams pretty good once you get on it. Its a higher-pitched tone than those with H-pipes. SOTP feel was improved in the mid-rpm ranges as well.
