All you guys running 315's out back....

i had the Sumitomo 315/35R17's on my 17x10.5 bullitts and when i took the wheels off last week i noticed some rubber built up on the tailpipe on the right side... i assume its from the rear shifting in corners as it had a fair amount of clearance...

im running Nittos all around now... 245/45R17 555 in front and 315/35R17 555R in back

I just ordered a set of 315 35 17 Goodyear GSD3 tires for my new 10.5" wheels. Is it wrong to go with a cheaper set of 255 40 17s up front? If I go with a set of BFG sports I will save 180 bucks. Is there anything wrong with this? They are both z rated tires.

I'm running the sumitomo 315 35 zr 17 htr35z on the rear of my d.d bullitts, and stock good years up front on my stcok bullitts. It's really not a big deal.:nice:

are you guys saying there isn't clearance for your tailpipes by running wide tires??

Do you have an aftermarket catback?

I had this issue with my 275s rubbing my Bassani catback. The guys who installed my 315s also do custom exhaust work so they dimpled my pipes and bent them a little to get them out of the way.

Also, you may have to get your rear fenders rolled (mine are). On tight turns there is a possibility the tire will rub the fender.

GSD3's are the widest made 315s out there.
