Almost done painting the 82 in the driveway. Not recommended, but its working....
Surprisingly it did not get a huge amount of dirt and bugs. Bondo Billy says you dont have to clean the floor, so I left all the sand the rain washed down the driveway under the car. And a couple of roman candles got the squirrels in the oak tree branch above the car to move temporarily.... (not really, but thats what I told the Eastwood tech guy) Hood got rained on and did not turn out as good on the do over, but I looks much better and should rust much more slowly.OH GOD!!!you get dust, dirt and every bug within 10 miles!!!
just put a lot of clear on it and wet sanding takes most out, I've seen a couple driveway jobs look pretty decent.
You're being funny here right?should rust much more slowly.
Actually, the car has been parked next to a tidal creek for most of the time I have owned it. It did take a 2 year break where it was parked within 30 ft of the Pascagoula River, (mostly freshwater, but still tidal) so rust is a real thing. I am surprised that it does not have the typical rust in the front frame and shock towers, but the cowl and front structure were toast. Took four 2x4 sheets of 18 gage to fix it.You're being funny here right?
Just checking......
Pascagoula River!? I currently live in PA but grew up on the Gulf Coast. Cool to see a ride from back home. Looks nice man. Looking forward to seeing more on your progress.Actually, the car has been parked next to a tidal creek for most of the time I have owned it.
