I'm finally doing an alternator upgrade to a 150 amp. I know that I need to get 4 guage wire, how long do I need to get? Is there anything else that I might need?
Go to PA Performance and order a "long" 4ga. wire upgrade kit. Kinda pricey, but it includes everything you need for the upgrade (except the alternator, of course) so you don't have to go hunting for all the parts separately. You definately want to get the fuse and holder (or appropriate sized fuseable link) to protect the wiring, if you don't buy the kit.
