Is it possible to alter the rear coupe seat to be installed in a vert? If so, how hard is it and what needs to be done?

My bro-in-law got a Mach 1 and the seats are much better than the GTs. Also, does anyone make aftermarket seats like the Mach in terms of support with the "racing" pass through belt holes?

BTW, anyone considering between a Mach and a GT...get the Mach. The Mach was much nicer for the extra few grand, unless you only want a vert. How about a Mach styled vert?

Gosh, it would be a lot of work. The 'vert has a much different rear seat. The 'vert has a one piece back which doesn't fold, and the entire seat is narrower due to the thicker side panels.

I figured it wouldn't be easy. I would like to get the Mach 1 seats for the front and get the rears recovered since they are cloth now, but the Mach 1 seats have the ribbed design.

Anyone make a Mach 1 type seat (support) that resembles stock GT?

You might want to check out one of the after-market leather suppliers. You might be able to buy some nice front seats in "cheap" vinyl or cloth, and then upgrade the new front seats and stock rears, with the same matching after-market leather.
