Im about to order the MAC off road h-pipe. What i want to know is will it give me a more mean sound? Im looking for that old muscle car growl dont really like the raspy nascar sound from the x-pipe.

Just want to make sure it will sound good on my current setup. id like to be louder but not anything that will awake the dead.

Let me know what you think.

The H-pipe will give you that deep sound you want. I have the o/r H with flows and it sounds great. I get lots of compliments over it too. Place the order and be happy

Yes, the O/R H-pipe will make your car sound alot meaner. Check out the exhaust video clip I have in my sig. The first part of that clip is with just the flowmaster catback, the second part of the clip is with the addition of the MAC O/R H-pipe. That will give you an idea of how different it will sound.

The growl of your Stang with this exhaust set-up will probably scare your neighbors.

if your looking for the sound, i think you will be happy. i have a mac pro chamber with cats (only reason for the cats, i live in CA) and its sounds good, i would like to ditch my cats. but the local cops around hear are very bored. also i used to have a 95 GT, that had an h-pipe no cats and it sounded great till i got pulled over.

Your car will sound evil as hell with the mac o/r pipe. The X pipe generally causes what people call the "raspy nascar" sound.. but it's not really that bad. I have the mac o/r h pipe and flows, and it's evil.. very evil.

It still doesn't work.. I end up saving a file that won't open in Winamp, Windows Media Player, or anything else.

absolutely get the H pipe if you want a healthier sound!!! was the best thing I ever did, besides the gear install of course

here's a link to the vid of my 97 stang with a BBK off road H-pipe.

http://www.fastwearz.com/1chambers.wmv

(when I had just flowmasters without the off road H, it didnt sound much louder than stock IMO, and it really needed help... the H-pipe did the trick)

MONEY WELL SPENT, in my opinion.
