just bought another sn-5.0, this one is a 94gt that has been put through the wringer by previous owners and has ben a victim of horrific body work and a person that did not know that there is a spout connector, hence the low price(2500) cause of the "knocking" engine which was cured by setting the base timing back to 10 from the 30 that it was set at. it will most likely receive a cage, road race suspension, etc... any opinions on what to do is welcome, budget is about 15k and has to include alot given it is mostly stock. heres the pics.

nice find! I got a $2500 motocross bike for $450 one time cuz the guy didn't know the reason it was running bad was he needed to adjust the air/fuel screw....lol, he thought it had engine problems

What sort of bad body work does it have? it doesn't look too bad in the pics.

Also, a nice H/C/I setup and a full suspension would make one hell of a car. Grigg's GR40 is the holy grail to me, but yea, I dunno how much of that $15k you wanna devote to suspension haha. A full coilover conversion/adjustable struts and LOTS of bracing (torque arm, panhard bar, 5-link, SFC's, etc), aftermarket K-member, tubular control arms, and boxed upper and lower rear control arms would be almost as good as the GR40.

If you still have money left after all that, theres always the option to throw some boost at it

i really had my eye on griggs front sla suspension and a irs from an 01-up cobra with a diff cooler and all the goodies, suspension is what i always will spend the bulk of my budget on cuz that's what i like. as far as the bodywork, someone got really carried away with bondo and a maaco paint job to cover it up. it is def a ten foot car.

Awesome.. if I came across a car like this I think I would have to find a way...

For the mods i would try to break it up into categories..

But I would do cobra brakes, roll cage, 5-point harnesses, full suspension, gears, then H/C/I then boost... And keep the tri-bars to keep it stealthy...

Sell all of your old parts to help raise some more $$ for more mods...

alright first full day of ownership and i just ordered carpet, corbeau legacy seats, momo steering wheel, maximum motorsports 6pt cage, fuel pump, clutch quadrant and cable. this weekend i am going to draw up some suspension plans tell me what you think. hpm panhard bar(take off of other car), kenny brown front sway bar(take off of other car), mm coil over kit , mm front a arms, mm rear contol arms with spherical upper mount, flaming river manual rack kit.

sounds pretty awesome man......i love drag racing and drag cars, but theres jsut something about a full road race suspension on a DD thats awesome!
