And the bling goes on...

Are the honycombs on the supercharger polished? When I polished my old
s-trim doing them was a pain in the ass. It actually took me 3 days to do them, but once installed it was worth it and made a big difference in how the engine bay looked.

Yes they are. I need to touch them up as they've lost a little luster. It definitely makes it stand out against those that aren't polished :nice:

Thanks guys :) I'll have more pics once I'm done. Still got a couple things to do before I really want to show it off.

You know why  Less work for me to do this winter. :nice:

And my work for today:
- install polished hood struts
- new body-matched brake booster (this thing looks like a giant candy apple. i painted/cleared it on Sunday)
- clean up the wires above the brake booster a little nicer

It's not even cleaned in those pics, if you believe it.

I also have a SN95 distributor cap cover that I had chromed, but forgot to put it on for that picture. It makes a huge difference. Heck, just a stock black one really neatens up that area! I HATE the rubber Fox ones, though.

Don't mention MSD to me EVER! :fuss:
I put in a brand new Pro Billet one, was forced to drive in the rain to my tune appointment, and it crapped out on me THREE TIMES. I was so pissed :notnice:

Anyway, the stock dist. went back in and hasn't missed a beat ever since. I polished it up in the visible places, and I have that chrome cap cover to cover all the wires and cap too. Huge difference I'm tellin' ya. I'll have pics of everything all together this weekend from FFW.

I thought the problem at the time was a relay in the fender that was getting wet. So I was laying on the side of the road swapping it out. Plus the first time I broke down was on a hill, so my friends and I had to push it uphill in the rain - not easy

Then the last time it broke down was on a small rinkydink highway, nearly-zero visibility, and I thought for sure I was going to get smashed into on the side of the road.

Anyway... no MSD :)

do you think that intake will ever discolor from all the heat being throw by the headers/heads? just thought about that while reading it. it looks damn sweet though and i can see dave taking the picture IN the power pipe hahah:nice:

Chris, no worries on the heat. It doesn't get nearly as hot as headers, on which chrome doesn't last.

The new brake booster & hood struts are ON! They look great too. I'd have pics but the engine is filthy from the shredded belt from last night :*( I couldn't spend time cleaning it today, but I likely will tonight.
