Whats goin on guys?? I've been lurkin around this website for about a year now (since I sold my 93 lx) and the time has come to where I'm thinkin of gettin another fox body. My 93 lx 5.0 had bbk LTs, O/R H-pipe with mac exhaust, CAI, UD pulleys, 3.73s and a fair amount of suspension mods that I dont wanna type for the sake of the length of this post. It seems that quiet a few of you on here know your stuff about these cars so I'm turning to you all in hope for some advice as to where i want to be with my new car.
I'm lookin for another lx hatch 5spd car that I want to turn into a mean street car with the occisonal trip the the strip. I'm lookin to run mid to low 10s in it. I plan on a 331 stroker kit using a dart or boss block and goin with either a single turbo or twin turbo setup (more than likely single). When it comes to forced induction I'm completely clueless as what H/C/I combo work well with turbos.
What I was hopin to get from this post - if someone could take the time to post up what they think a good combintion (along with turbo kit) that can help me get there. Do you think 3.73s or 3.55s would be a better gear for a set up like this? I alwaysed heard 3.73s for a N/A 5spd and 3.55s for superchargeres/turbos. I know of all the suspension mods and stuff that will need to be done I just need help with the motor set up.
Hoepfully this will help me make up my mind if this is gonna be partical enough for me to start next spring.. I plan on sellin my truck in the spring and will profit about $7000 dollars off of it and I think that will be a healthly start on the motor build up.. Thanks for the help fellas

Well go with AFR's heads For sure, they need to big like 185's or bigger. with a good intake, for that 10's will be hard but not that hard. Intake like a spyder efi intake with the turbo's...big intercooler, Custom cam, off the shelf cam wont give you what it takes for 10's, But it could... As for gears, with the turbo youll want 3.55's or even lower for a car in the 10's. mabye like 3.27's so you stay in the gear longer, and you wont cap out before the traps, in 4th gear(assuming T-5 trans), Fot the turbo, shop around on turbomustangs.com, a few good companies come to mind turbonetics, cartech, or hellion are all very good turbo companies, For 10's youll need more than 10psi of boost and atleast a stage 2-3 kit. With that much boost youll need good ignition, and fuel, race gas or high octane. As for blocks Dart is your best bet. 10's are somewhat hard if you want it a DD also.

$7000 will buy one hell of a long block from DSS. They could really help you with any of the questions you have. They do it everyday. They could really give insight to what cam and induction would be best. 3.08s and 3.27s are the norm for most turbo cars . From what i have seen the HP performance turbo kit is pretty slick. Fits nicely and makes huge power. Muscle Mustang magazine went high 10s in a mostly stock aod GT with their setup. Thats Sick!!

Hey guys, thanks for the welcomes and the quick replies.. I should of said that this wouldnt be a DD.. Mainly weekends and car shows and crusie ins. I need to check into the dss longblocks if they are a good option.. Are they all forged internals?? I would rather get a long block that way I save some money on paying a shop to put a motor together for me ( I never rebuilt a complete motor). Thanks for the replies thus far and anyone feel free to post more info.

theres a guy on here that didnt buy a kit for a single turbo, he pieced it together with quality stuff, and i like that route. just talk to dss and get what they recommend. then get yoru self the plumbing and turbo and manifold, ect, then clean up the suspension and you should be good to go. if i remember correctly 10s is requiring a 6pt rollcage teritory so might as well grab that.
