another tranmission question

ok yesterday i got a trans out of a junk yard its numbers read out as a t 5 but the bell housing on it is diff than mine it seems to be bulkier and has a few vents in it they said it came out of 93 so im wondering is there a diff and if so will it work with my car

If it's from a 93 it'll bolt right up. In 90 (I Think) they changed the cluster gear for a higher TQ rating. But it'll work and you'll get a stronger tranny if your 5.0 is pre-89.
