Another tranny qwuestion

Well, I have done a thourough search and read what has to be said but I still have questions. Also not sure if I am in the right thread so here we go.

I have an 82 GT with a 351W, its will be running in excess of 500hp and weighs almost 3700lbs. (I know, it needs to go ona diet) It has 4.10 gears and currently a WC T-5 (2.95 first gear) Anyway, it has been sitting for a time and now its time to get it going again.

I need to do something with the tranny (believe it or not it lasted foir a while before the second gear syncros let go. I HATE the 2.95's but dont see any way around the higher gear to handle the power. I shift at 6800rpm.

So the question is... G0-force or TKO600?

I have looked into the G-force and love that option (especially the highway 5th gear) but their website states its only good for 500tq witha 3300lb car, with the upgraded mainshaft.

The TKO may be a better option just for that matter. I dont think I am making 500tq, but the car is 3700lbs, and it launches HARD even with the street tires. Give me some of your thoughts as to strength vs PITA and weight to swap (well compared to the T-5)

I appreciate any of your opinions,

i believe they make the tko 600 available with a .64 5th gear for freeway cruising.......

They do, but the G-force offers a .59 or a .73 5th. With the 4.10s the .59 sure would make for nice highway driving. Of course it wont be on the highway to much. But that is not really the issue. Just not sure of the strength of the G-force compared to the TKO600. It appears teh cost will be about the same, but I want to make sure everyhting will work correctly. I would prefer teh T-5 just because thats what came in it.
