i had my l/t installed yesterday. now its on the dyno getting tuned. everything was fine with the tune for all my other mods, heads cams...

with the addition of the l/t im getting a lean condition fron 2000-3000 rpm. tuner is trying to adjust it, and says he keeps adding fuel but it keeps leaning out in that range. the rest of the rpm band is fine.

what could be causein the lean condition? any ideas?

Tell him to give Tim a call :D. Well, most down even tune for LTs...and the lean condition is throwing me for a loop as a LTs are SUPPOSED to cause a richer condition from all that I have heard. Were you able to get peak RWHP #s? And exactly how lean is it from 2-3 K?

yea i thought l/t ran rich myself:shrug: . im not really sure, unless my maf is shot or somthing, but it was fine before the headers. he's not really going to mess with it until monday. i think the peak power is still going to stay at 11rwhp, maybe slightly more but not much. i dont want to say im dissapointed yet, because when i heard my head/cam peak #'s i wasnt thrilled either. once i compaired the dynos for the h/c to the before, they picked up huge hp at high rmp. as much as 45 and 50 rwhp at 5500- 5800 rpm.

so we will se, i just have to find out what is going wrong here so i can get my numbers and my car back running safely.

not sure how lean its running yet. what is the safe range, 12-13 to 1.

what is considered too lean? i think he said it might have shot up to 14 in that range.

is he adjusting the maf transfer functions or just changing the commanded a/f ratio? it sounds to me that the maf transfer functions in the 2000-3000 range needs adjusted since the car gets enough fuel everywhere else. but it's hard to say for certain without actually knowing all the details.
