Anybody Running a Poly Tranny Mount with Stock Motor Mounts?

Just curious. Of all the things I made sure to do before I dropped the engine back in the car, I opted to stick with my factory motor mounts. With the extra torque I'm noticing a little more slack in the drivetrain than before, nothing too serious but I'd like to look into something to stiffen it up a little.

Granted, the application is completely different, but I had a 2.3L manual Focus ZX3 a couple years back that had similar drivetrain slop, and the poly tranny mount really firmed things up.

Anyone done the tranny mount only?

Do you have a T-45 transmission still?
I have a poly transmission mount and a new stock motor mounts.
When driving my car feels more firmer and solid.I am happy I
changed my mounts as both my transmission and engine mounts
were worn out.The transmission mount had a small tear in it
somehow.Whatever you do don't get solid transmission or engine
mounts they will rattle and shake your car to death lol.
What brand poly transmission mount are you looking at?

You wan't the engine to have equal or firmer mounts than the tranny at all times. Otherwise, the torque will still rotate the engine, but all of the force will then be localized on the tranny mount...which needless to say is bad! The general rule of thumb is, either run poly everything or run poly motor mounts with a stock trans mount.
