I want to lower my trunk I mean mustang. I don't want to pay for the typical eibach or H&R springs, was wondering if anyone bought some cheap springs on eBay and were pleased with them. How much you paid and if you had a link it would be awesome. I really want to lower it before it gets a lot nicer outside, it's still little chilly here in Wisconsin.

I dont mean to sound too negative with my reply, but have to tell ya. Please spend the extra $50 or so and get a quality, reputable and safe set of coils. People are always looking for the cheapest way out, me included...but when it comes to stuff like suspension, braking, tires etc, it only makes sence to spend the extra few dollars to have peace of mind.

You can find Eibach, Vogtland (sp?), H&R and a variety of other coils for low $200s if you look hard enough. BBK also has a nice set of good riding coils for around $175
I have owned 2 sets of the BBKs and they ride great with only about 1.5" drop.

Most of the cheap ebay springs are gonna have a higher spring rate and ride rough as a horse and buggy on an old rutted out trail.
I could see cheaping out if the price difference was thousands of dollars, but only a few extra dollars makes no sence to me why you would want to sacrafice you ride quality and your safety for these cheap made springs.

How do I know?
My good friend owns a 98 Cobra and bought a set of coils off of ebay for like $90 shipped. He spend many hours installing them and then went and paid for an alignment afterward. 1,000 miles later he was going across a set of railroad tracks kinda fast and the passenger front coil broke in half!!!!!
I kid you not. Cheap quality and it could have killed him.

Regardless of the safety factor, he spend alot of time and money with labor and alignment only to have to purchase a new set, get a new alignment and go through more laborous hours redoing everything.

Just my opinion.

hope everything works out for you man.

If you don't want to spend alot of money, Ford Racing C or B springs are great for around $160. Summit Racing also sells their brand progressive rate springs for $160-$170 or so.

Don't cheap on the springs, seriously.
