I picked one up at a junkyard for $17 but I noticed that its smaller in diameter than a FRPP one. Should I be worried about it breaking? I run my car at the track with drag radials. Thanks for any help.

well you'll have to buy the conversion u-joints too. I had mine already to go then scored a deal on the FRPP one. Hold them side by side and there is no comparison in diameter. But the aerostar one should be ok for ya.

i don't know if i'm misreading your post, but the aerostar shaft IS smaller in diameter.

you shouldn't have any issues at all with the aerostar shaft though. it's a very common mod. like said before, just need to get the correct u-joints.

After looking at NAPAs site it looks like the complete number is PUJ 353.

Anyone know what these driveshafts are good for as far as HP goes?
