So I noticed whenever I drive quick over a bump the tire slighty rubs on the inner fender....

Is there any downside to me removing it? thanx

If it bothers you that much you could always try 91-93 Fenders and inner liners.

I had a car that never saw rain, but just general road grime and dirt always came into the engine bay. My air filter stayed filthy and the whole engine always had a layer of dust on it after a cruise.

I took them off my car and i had no issues at all.. No extra dirt got in the engine bay or rocks hiting the fenders. I dont understand why you think more dirt would get into the engine bay unless the sides of the bay are made of plastic..

my downside was it seemed noisier at high speeds(when i bought the car the left side plastic inner fender was missing) and it threw all the mucky dirt and pine needles into the front door hinge/jam area, so that whole area would be dirty and blow water inside the car sometimes..you could cut out the portion that rubs(should be obvious rub marks) and leave it at that, or melt the plastic and push it back in..lots of choices besides totally removing it

my friend drove his car without the plastic liner for over 6 yrs i think he said, and then one day.

I had my inner fender loosly mounted because I had a newer fender with an older liner that didnt quite match up. Well...to make a long story short, after installing my BOV the first time I got on it it blew my inner fender off and the wheel completly shredded it! :owned:

Live and learn. :nice:
