Anyone know what's wrong with my car?

I have noticed lately that sometimes when I start my car the THEFT light will keep flashing. It will flash really fast at first, then slow down and looks as if it is flashing a code because it goes on and off in a pattern of intervals. The light only comes on every few times I start the car and will eventually stop when I drive for a few minutes. Is it trying to flash a code, the car seems to run fine ?

I read in the 03 manual something along the lines of if it continues to flash after you've started the car to take it to a dealership, you still under warranty?

My car never had a theft deterant system so the theft light never came on. After ALLEN programmed my 9 psi chip, mine started doing the very same thing you describe. It goes out after a couple of minutes after flashing pregressively slower and slower. I have never worried about it. If it decided to keep flashing all the time, then I would see about it.
