I'm in the market for a new hood, and want to be sure of quality before I spend the coin.

I know Cervini's is good quality, but has anyone else used a different company. I'm specifically looking for a 00R hood, so if you've bought that one or a different replica (i.e., not a cowl hood, like a 03' Cobra replica, etc), I'd like to know:

1. Quality?
2. Paint prep time needed?
3. Purchased when?
4. How's it holding up since you've bought it/painted it?
5. Hood pinned or not?
6. Any other feedback on it?

Thanks.

I have seen a lot of people complaining about receiving their hoods damaged from shipping, especially OEM 03/04 cobra hoods...

Well, if I end up ordering the OEM hood, I'm getting it from my friend who works at the dealership. I'd have him check it first too

If you are getting a 2000R I think you should go with OEM for best quality.

I've heard that Cervini's rivals OEM for quality, but it costs about the same.

Let me go check some prices.

i do not have any of this company's products, but I have heard positive feedback .

EDIT: and it you read that, they claim to make the R hood for Ford. Price looks attractive too.

I'm not into carbon fiber personally and I can't use it for work that way. It has to match the body and not require any hood pins.

If everything works out in the end, here's what it'll look like when I'm done (without the Cobra ornament and those rims):

Ya, I love that hood. Something tells me that I won't be happy if I don't get that one.

Chin spoiler $100.56
Fog lights $123.06
Bezels $20.56
Brackets $16.62

I got the 00R hood from cervini's. Even though its for a 96, the quality was excellent and the guy who painted it said it was one of the best fitting and quality hoods he has worked on.

Best bet would be the dealership...they usually ship from dealer to dealer for free so you might get free shipping, although you might have to wait longer until the next shipment of parts arrives. Plus then you won't have to deal with damaged freight. If it arrives at Ford messed up they deal with it, if it arrives at your house messed up then your gonna have to take care of it.
